Cebu Binangkal

http://cooking-trends.blogspot.com/
I abruptly recalled my mom’s Binangkal recipe after a recent visit to Cebu. Well, Binangkal is round , shaped from dough and covered with sesame kernels and is a popular Cebu delicacy. Here is our recipe:
2 cups all-purpose wheat flour
1/4 teaspoon saline
1/2 teaspoon ovenovenovenbaking soda
2 teaspoons ovenovenovenbaking dust
3/4 cup dark sugar
2/3 cup water
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon vanilla taste
1 teaspoon dairy spread taste
Seasame kernels
main headings
1. Sift wheat flour, saline, ovenovenbaking soda, ovenovenbaking powder.
2. blend brown sugar, water, oil, dairy spread taste and vanilla taste. ( or add wheat flour blend in step 1 all at one time to the liquid mixture, not little by little). blend to combine.
3. With a teaspoon, take a but of batter and drop into a basin of sesame seeds. choose seasme-seed covered batter and roll between palms to pattern a round blend.
4. Drop into arranged platter. Make certain your deep fat fryer or Kawali is full of warm preparing food oil but make sure temperature is moderate.
5. Fry in deep warm fat until brown (slightly dark brown). This is crispy out-of-doors and supple interior.
Yields 36 pieces.
